We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to work on a full-time basis as a Research Project Manager on the Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders Team in the Anxiety Disorders Clinic at New York State Psychiatric Institute.
As Research Project Manager for NIMH-funded trials, provide clinical and research supervision to research assistants and post-doctoral fellows, conduct diagnostic and other structured assessments as part of screening and as an independent evaluator, provide leadership and support in coordinating the research conducted by the Obsessive Compulsive Disorders team, manage day to day operational research activities, supervise the training of incoming research personnel in institutional and study-specific operations for quality assurance, assist with project management of specific research studies, and assist with presentations, manuscripts, and other research-related publications.
Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in clinical psychology with expertise in obsessive-compulsive disorder, structured diagnostic and clinical assessments, and manualized cognitive behavioral therapy. Prior experience with NIMH-funded neuroimaging studies required as well as at least two years' experience in a research laboratory after completing PhD training where the primary role was research project leadership and management as well as training personnel on research projects and research protocols.
Preferred Qualifications: Strong written and verbal communication skills and an analytic background. Ability to work on a team and to work independently are essential as are strong organizational, program management and coordination skills. Must be familiar with clinical research techniques, working with institutional review boards, database management, statistical analysis and presentation of data. Proficient in Microsoft Office and SPSS.
